Peggy the Teggy, in shining glory
A very, very long while. So much has happened that can’t be explained through the internet, but I’m still here and will stick to the car stuff.
What has changed since my last post in October?
Many things.
The Integra is now a comfortable, quiet, clean daily driver. The old ebay special muffler has been cut off, and a new quiet universal replacement now takes its place. The stock 14 inch wheels are back on, wrapped in all-seasons for great daily driver characteristics. I have replaced the coil-over sleeves in the back with the stock springs, which got rid of the ricer bounce the car has always had. I’ve moved the license plate back to the front bumper, albeit without a proper bracket, but it keeps it safe and out of the cabin.
The mustang has undergone surgery, a new camshaft, intake, valve covers, radiator, alternator, and MSD ignition system. That whole deal took around 2 and a half months to complete, but now the car runs healthy and reliable. All of these upgrades have now highlighted the two largest things holding back the cars performance. An open differential, and all-season tires. I can spin tires without any effort, at least the right one that is, and can feel the lack of grip slowing down the car.
Life and college has been a mess so I won’t even get into that, but the cars are doing well, so there’s always something to look forward to.
Gratuitous pictures from the past few months!
Open house for the Texas A&M Sports Car Club, where a select few of our member’s cars were picked to draw in new members! This year our car show was in front of Kyle Field itself, proving to be a very photogenic location.
